Subject: safety aspects being followed in the operation of Nuclear Power Plants in India

I would like to know the following from the concerned department regarding the safety aspects being followed in the operation of Nuclear Power Plants in India.

1. How is the electrical power is being supplied presently to different plants?

2. What are the Power back up sources  in case the main power supply fails.

3. What are the plans for evacuation of people residing in the Imapct Zone in case of major Nuclear Disaster of the kind seen in Japan??

4. How many radiation detection equipments are kept available outside the Nuclear Power Plant?  In case of major Disaster, the equipments inside the plant may not be of any use at all.

5. How and where is the spent fuel being stored??

Kindly supply the answers as early as possible.
