Regarding: Reasons for the Passport Delay
My passport application no is GZB-A*********8-11, I applied 7 months back as on dated 23-03-2011 but still I haven't received my Passport. All the inquiry status including police report are clear. On the site it says that it is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the dispatch of passport has been delayed and will now be dispatched in a week's time. Regarding details and procedure for reissue of lost passport for which no record is found
I was issued a passport on 1st July 1982 which got expired in 1991. I did not get the passport renewed or reissued at that time and lost the expired old passport for which FIR is duly registered in Sector 19 Police station.
Now I wish to apply for a reissue of my passport but when I approached the passport office and duly checked the records with the relevant department, it was found that there was no record of my previous passport made in 1982.
I wish to apply for the reissue of my passport for which I require details like passport Number, Expiry date etc. which I do not have records and also did not find any record in the passport office chandigarh.
I wish to know the procedure of applying my passport in this scenario, whether I need to apply for a fresh passport, or if I need to apply for a reissue of the passport then I require the details of the old passport for which I need to required procedure in the regard that no record exists in the passport office.
Regarding: Delay in Passport
My son’s passport file reference no is; HYD-C0***2-11, we haven't received the passport yet, on the site it says that “Passport was ready on 17-08-2011.” When we sent SMS to 55352, we got the response as “RPO HYD:C0****1:PL FURNISH YOUR PRENTS MARRIAGE CERTI AND ANNEXURE H DULY SIGNED BY BOTH PAREVTS”, Then we submitted the marriage certificate and annexure H form signed by both parents at Hyderabad passport office on 21st September, 2011 and the officer told us that “You will receive the passport in a week”. But we haven’t received the passport yet
